Ellen CK222 - Port Chains Under Way

Working from aft:- The topmast running backstay stowed as no sail is presently set from the topmast. In use, the rope tail from the bottom block is made off on a cavil rail aft and the tackle hauled in. Next is the peak halyard, then the throat halyard and finally the jib hardener. Only light stuff like flag halyards are made off on the shroud pin rail. The old oil lamp for the port navigation light now has a powerful electric light bulb in it.
